Below is the response from the Police Secretary Cyndi MacReynolds to your OPRA request regarding body worn cameras for the police department:
"The officers are not using body cams. They have two from the previous chief but they have never been deployed. I do not have the paperwork for any of these. Not sure if they were donated to the department or if we bought them."
I have forwarded your OPRA request to the Finance Department regarding invoices for the purchase of body cameras. I also forwarded your OPRA request to them for purchase order history for the police department from 2012 to 2019.
The Municipal Building is currently closed and employees are working remotely from home. Some employees are coming into the office sporadically, so it may take longer than the normal 7 day response time. As soon as I receive the information, I will send it to you.
Thank you,
Nadene
