On behalf of the SHA staff, I want to sincerely apologize for the mishap with your Community Room request and am truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused. Hosting an event is stressful enough, and I can only imagine how this situation may have added to that stress.
I’m so glad to hear that, despite the delay, you were still able to celebrate and enjoy your event. It means a lot to us that the outcome was ultimately positive.
I also want to extend my sincere thanks to the Commissioners for stepping in to ensure everything came together, especially to Commissioner Barnes for calling me directly and bringing this to my attention so it could be addressed promptly.
Please know that the SHA staff also value the tenants, and we’re committed to improving our internal processes to prevent similar issues in the future. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Good morning,
I just wanted to take a moment and reach out to everyone to say thank you for all of your help on Sunday! Back in May I requested the Community Room on Weaver Street. Unfortunately, due to staff changes, the request wasn't
properly communicated to the maintenence staff. Commissioner Wanda did an excellent job at reaching out to everyone to make sure the job was done! It's reassuring to know that tenants are valued by commissioners when needed. You all acted quickly, and though
my deliveries were delayed, I was able to celebrate.
