Dear Anonymous,
The Board is in receipt of your Open Public Records Act ("OPRA") request.
Your request requires additional time to respond due to the need to review
potentially responsive records for confidential information and due to the
significant demands placed on the District with regard to the
exceptionally large number of OPRA requests the Board has received. OPRA
allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-5(i). Specifically, OPRA states that “the requestor shall be advised
by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the record is
not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”
Accordingly, your request requires an extension of time until February 9,
2024

Dear Monroe Township School District (Middlesex),
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Open Public Records Act reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Monroe Township School District (Middlesex)'s handling of my OPRA request 'OPRA: Chari Chanley Calendar'.
I have contacted the government records commission and they have stated that school district employee email, calendars, and any other electronic device are discoverable under OPRA. Personal information or student information is redactable under law. If you are not willing to fulfill this request, which is permitted under law, I will file a complaint with the GRC to require the district provide the requested school district official business information. This is my second request made on 2/21/24 at 11:21am EST.
