OPRA Abandoned/VACANT/Probate- Monmouth
Dear Robbinsville Township,
I appreciate your consideration of the following matter. Under OPRA and the Common Law Right of Access, I am requesting a current list of records for each of the following be delivered via e-mail:
1) All abandoned/vacant residential properties (Property Class 2)
2) All condemned properties
3) All residential properties with delinquent taxes
4) All residential properties for which a Lis Pendens notice has been filed or that are currently in probate
5) All properties that are absentee-owned
6) All properties with delinquent water and sewer which date back up to 1 year, including amounts owed
7) All properties currently listed with water shut-off notice
8) All properties with code violations, including the type of violation
9) All properties with notices of abatement
Again, I appreciate your attention to this matter and thank you in advance for your help.
Yours faithfully,
B.Saint-Jean
Please be advised that I received 2 identical requests from you, except that the subject line says "Mercer" on one and "Monmouth" on the other. Since we are not located in Monmouth County (If that is what you meant), we would not have any records pertaining to Monmouth County. I will be responding to your request that says "Mercer". If that is not what you meant, then please be more specific and let me know why you sent 2 identical requests and whether or not you will need my responses twice.
Sincerely,
Michele Seigfried

Dear Michele Seigfried,
My apologies, I was referring to the Robbinsville in Mercer county. I only need a response once.
Yours sincerely,
Ben
With regard to your OPRA request, please be advised of the following:
1. The Township of Robbinsville does not require abandoned/vacant
residential properties to file with us, so this portion of your
request is considered denied, as per NJSA 47:1A-1.1, no such record
exists.
2. The Township of Robbinsville does not keep lists of condemned
properties and is not aware of any currently condemned properties, so
this portion of your request is considered denied, as per NJSA
47:1A-1.1, no such record exists.
3. Properties with delinquent taxes are attached.
4. Lis Pendens notices are not handled by the Township. I believe the
County of Mercer is who would handle this. This portion of your
request is considered denied, as per NJSA 47:1A-1.1, no such record
exists.
5. We are unsure what you mean by properties that are absentee-owned.
Are you asking for those properties that are rented by landlords? Or
properties where the owner’s mailing address is different from the
home address in Robbinsville? Please clarify this portion of your
request.
6. Properties with delinquent sewer are attached. The Township of
Robbinsville does not handle water. Water is through a private company
or a private well. This portion of your request is considered denied,
as per NJSA 47:1A-1.1, no such record exists.
7. The Township of Robbinsville does not handle water and does not have
any water records. This portion of your request is considered denied,
as per NJSA 47:1A-1.1, no such record exists.
8. Please clarify this portion of your request to indicate if you were
looking for open violations, closed violations or both.
9. Please clarify what you mean by notices of abatement. The Township of
Robbinsville does not have anything called a notice of abatement, we
only have violation notices which would be the same as #8 above.
Sincerely,
