Good Morning,

As a result of the State of Emergency, building access restrictions and
delay in availability of personnel needed to provide responsive records to
the Records Custodian, the deadline for your request has been extended to
February 4, 2021.

PERMIT/NEW APPLICATION/INSPECTION STATUS

For your convenience, information regarding the status of existing
permits, new permit applications, permit updates, and inspection status
can be obtained by visiting our website. Please refer to the steps below:

• Access our website: [1]www.franklintwpnj.org

• Once on the home page, click on the tab marked “Online requests and
permits” and log in. If you are a first time user you will be asked to
create a new account. Once you have created your account you will be able
to log in and access information as needed.

• After you have logged in you will see a box titled “Permit Status
Check.” There you will find a text box where you can enter a permit number
or a control number. If you do not have that information available, click
on the link titled “Full Permit Search” located directly below the text
box. You will then be able to search for the information by property
address.

Note: When entering the property address, do not include the word Avenue,
Street, Drive, etc. Only use the house number and street name – i.e. 123
Main.

• All available records associated with that permit number/control
number/address will appear on your screen. Simply click on the appropriate
record and you will be provided with the related detail.

Thank you,

Nancy Zumbana

Dear Nancy Zumbana,

Thank you for providing this information; it is absolutely valuable and provides the appropriate insight. There is one question though: each of the permits has the word "open" hand written in script across the top of it, including the permit that was first filed in 2001.

Are these permits actually still open or is there a clerical reason for these markings?

Yours sincerely,

Paul D'Aula

Nancy Zumbana,

Hello,
If the permit stay open they are open.
Thank you
