Open Tax Delinquent Property Records
Dear Records Custodian,
Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.) and the common law right of access, I am requesting the following records:
1. A complete list of all residential properties in New Brunswick with an open and currently delinquent property tax balance as of the date of this request (March 8, 2026), including any property carrying an unpaid balance from any prior quarter that remains outstanding and unsatisfied.
2. For each delinquent property, please include the following fields where available:
a. Property address
b. Block and lot number
c. Owner name
d. Amount of delinquency
e. Number of quarters/years delinquent
f. Whether a tax sale certificate has been issued
3. Please provide the records in electronic format (Excel or CSV preferred).
I certify that I HAVE NOT been convicted of an indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
My preferred method of delivery is by email reply. Please confirm receipt of this request. By law, you must respond within 7 business days.
If any portion of this request is denied, please provide the specific statutory basis for the denial and identify the portion being withheld.

Kindly be advised, requestors are not required to use an OPRA request form; however, a written equivalent not containing the form requirements of N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(f) and N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g) may be denied by a custodian.
