The Township of Bloomfield received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA)
Request on May 5,  2021.  As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to
respond to your request is May 14, 2021 response to your request is being
provided to you on the 5^th business day upon the Township’s receipt of
the request.   

Your OPRA request sought the following:

“  Under the Public Records Act, I formally request a current list of all
residential properties in your city that have had the water shut off any
time between 1/1/2020 and 05/05/2021 I authorize you to redact
confidential information in accordance with the Utilities Code.”

The following records are being provided in their entirety and are the
ONLY documents in the Township’s possession responsive to your request:

1.       From the Township’s Tax Collector: There are no documents
responsive to your request. Bloomfield does not shut off water.

These records are being transmitted to you via email, as per your request.

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Township of Bloomfield to deny
access.  At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey, or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.

The GRC can also answer other questions about the law.  All questions
