Under the Public Records Act, I am formally requesting to receive a list of all Residential properties in your city where Water damage or a flood was reported between 01/01/2019 to 5/01/2021. Please include the date, address of property, and estimate of damage.
Please provide requested records in Excel format if available.
If up-to-date data is not available, please provide the most recently available information.
Please include a Record Index with your response.
*A record index that identifies each record requested and the specific legal basis for a denial of access (including redactions) to each record.

The Office of the City Clerk, OPRA Unit, is in receipt of your OPRA
request. Please be advised that your request will be processed via
MUL-21-0293 CV19 and has been referred to the appropriate agencies to
search for records in accordance to your request. Note that the City of
Newark Departments as well as the OPRA Unit is currently working with
limited staff via a rotating schedule in order to mitigate the spread of
the Coronavirus.
An anticipated date for a response to your request is on or before June
22, 2021. Please ensure that you include the OPRA file number designated
to your request when contacting our office for assistance with your
request.

In response to your Open Public Records Application regarding the above
subject matter, the Department of Water & Sewer has provided documents
responsive to your request. Please see attached.
Your response has been redacted in order to comply with the requirements
of Daniel’s Law, P.L. 2020, c. 125. Daniel’s Law, effective November 20,
2020, prohibits the disclosure of certain personal information of active,
formerly active, and retired judicial officers, prosecutors, law
enforcement officers, and their immediate family members and establishes
criminal and civil action for disclosing such information. Your
anticipated understanding in this regard is appreciated.
