I am requesting the body-worn camera, dashcam, 911 audio, dispatch/CAD logs, surveillance video, photographs, and incident reports related to the June 29, 2025 shooting near 5 North 16th Street in East Orange, New Jersey, and the investigation of Darian Ficklin.

On June 29, 2025, shortly before 8:30 p.m., East Orange Police responded to a shooting in which a 41-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect, Darian Ficklin (29), of Orange, NJ, was later apprehended in Delaware with assistance from the New Jersey State Police.

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., please provide all existing digital records for this incident for the timeframe June 29, 2025, 7:30 p.m.–11:59 p.m., including:

All body-worn and dashcam footage.

All 911 audio and dispatch/CAD communications.

Any surveillance video obtained or maintained by East Orange Police.

All scene photographs and related incident or probable-cause reports.
