Dear North Bergen Township,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:
As a veteran First Amendment auditor, I am disgusted by how many OPRA requests are being denied and ignored by this municipality when they are all lawful requests that should be honored. I am specifically interested in the OPRA request regarding the officer reportedly driving around the Mayor at all hours when the timesheets do not match the calendar. The non release of these public documents falls directly on the Municipal Clerk, Erin Barillas. A formal complaint needs to be filed with the Government Records Council or brought directly before the Superior Court of New Jersey. I am requesting the following records:

Payroll and Overtime Records: Itemized payroll records, timesheets, and overtime approval slips for Officer William Brown for the period of 01/01/2023 to the present. Also who approved the overtime.

Mayor's Official Schedule: The official calendar, schedule, and itinerary including digital calendars for Mayor Sacco from 01/01/2023 to the present.

Police Vehicle GPS Tracking logs for the police vehicles assigned to and operated by Officer William Brown during his shifts from 01/01/2023 to the present.
