County Department of Corrections & Ocean County Buildings and Grounds
Department has compiled the records relative to this request, however, the
volume of records is too large to email.  As such, the records have been

OPRA:  RIGHT OF APPEAL

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the County of Ocean to deny access. At
your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court
of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government Records Council
(“GRC”) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.  You may

Dear Ocean County,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law
right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please
acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

- Any and all records related to inspections of the plumbing and toilets
at the jail between June 1, 2022, and present.

- Any and all records related to request forms, complaints or grievances
regarding plumbing and toilet issues filed by inmates or staff members
between June 1, 2022, and present.

- Any and all records related to maintenance or repairs of the plumbing
and toilets at the jail between June 1, 2022, and present.

- Any and all records related to sewage backup in the jail, including any
incident reports, photos, or other relevant documentation between June 1,
2022, and present.

- A copy of any service contract between the Ocean County Jail and any
outside plumber or grounds maintenance company that services the jail, to
the extent any such contract was in effect between June 1, 2022 and
present.

- Any state or county health, plumbing, or sanitation related records that
the Ocean County Jail possesses, dated between June 1, 2022 and present.

Please provide me with the requested records within seven business days
from the receipt of this request, as required by law. If any information
is exempt from disclosure, I request that you redact the exempt
information and provide the remaining records.

If any fees are associated with the fulfillment of this request, please
inform me in advance of fulfilling it. I request that the records be
provided in electronic format, if possible.
