This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law
right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please

Dear Custodian of Records,

I am writing to request access to public records under the New Jersey Open
Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., and the common law
right of access. I am not required to full out an official form. Please
acknowledge receipt of this message.

I am requesting access to the following records relating to Ocean County
Jail:

- Purchasing records for all food and beverages served to inmates at Ocean
County Jail between June 1, 2022 and present. This should include
invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and any other records related to the
acquisition of food and beverages for the jail.

- Quality control records for all food and beverages served to inmates at
Ocean County Jail between June 1, 2022 and present. This should include
any records related to inspections, testing, or other measures taken to
ensure the safety and quality of the food and beverages served.

- Inspection records for the kitchen and food storage areas at Ocean
County Jail between June 1, 2022 and present. This should include any
reports, logs, or other records related to inspections of the kitchen and
food storage areas by health inspectors or other relevant authorities.

- Complaint records related to food and beverages served to inmates at
Ocean County Jail between June 1, 2022 and present. This should include
any records related to complaints made by inmates, staff, or other
individuals regarding the quality or safety of the food and beverages
served, including Grievance Forms and Inmate Request Slips relating to the
food and beverages served during this time frame.

- A copy of the food services contract in effect at any time during the
period of June 1, 2022, and the present.

- Any other records related to the acquisition, preparation, serving, or
quality control of food and beverages served to inmates at Ocean County
Jail between June 1, 2022 and present.

Please provide any responsive records in electronic format, if possible.

Under the OPRA, I request that you respond to this request as soon as
possible and no later than seven (7) business days from the receipt of
this request, or by March 30, 2023. If access to the records I am
requesting will take longer than seven (7) business days, please contact
me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to
inspect the requested records.

Please note that if you believe that any of the requested records are
exempt from disclosure under OPRA, please provide a detailed explanation
of the basis for your assertion of the exemption, and please redact only
the specific information that is exempt from disclosure.
