the referenced request in our tracking system.  It appears that you
submitted it during the tenure of a prior records custodian, who has since
retired.  We regret that we have no explanation as to why, as you
indicate, you did not receive a response.

You might find it more efficient in future to submit requests through our

The Division of Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health does
not hold government records responsive to the referenced request.  To the
extent the Department might hold data responsive to the referenced
request, the Department makes those data available through the New Jersey
State Health Assessment Data (NJ SHAD) website at

with respect to suicide data.  

Upon information and belief, data for more recent years (including the
current year, for which data collection and review are ongoing), are not

to the NJ SHAD website as they are finalized and available for
dissemination.  Therefore, you might want to check back to the NJ SHAD
website periodically to see if additional years of data have been posted. 
In addition, data of interest to you might be available through the
website of the National Center for Health Statistics at
