Dear New Jersey Office of Information Technology,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Vacant and Abandoned Properties List, listed as of 2025

Blighted, Condemned, Distressed, Absentee, or HUD Nuisance Properties

List of most recent vacant/abandoned buildings that have been flagged for fire pre-planning purposes

The New Jersey Office of Information Technology (OIT) received your Open
Public Records Act (OPRA) request on April 13, 2025.

The Office of Information Technology is not the custodian of these
records. OPRA defines "custodian of a government record" as the official
designated by formal action of a public agency's director or governing
body that has custody or control of the government records of the public
agency.  In this case, the Department of Treasury is the custodian of the
requested records. Therefore, you should direct your request to this
Department.

 

The Open Public Records Act permits a person who believes he or she has
been improperly denied access to a government record to file a complaint
with the Government Records Council or to file an action in Superior Court
to challenge the decision and compel disclosure. See N.J.S.A. 47:1A-6.
