Nuisance, Vacant, or Abandoned Properties
Dear Aberdeen Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Vacant and Abandoned Properties List, listed as of 2025 and their GIS shape file
Blighted, Condemned, Distressed, Absentee, or HUD Nuisance Properties and their GIS shapefile
All records from 2018–2025 indicating properties cited as unsafe, unfit for habitation, or chronically violating maintenance codes
List of most recent vacant/abandoned buildings that have been flagged for fire pre-planning purposes
Expired permits for demolition that were filed but withdrawn since 1-1-2024
Complaint history for properties since 1-1-2024
A list of properties with unpaid taxes for 3+ years, including addresses, owner names, and lienholder details and in rem properties
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Hello,
I am following up with you regarding the OPRA request submitted via email
to the Municipal Clerk, Melissa Pfeifer. I will be responding to portion
of your request for Tax, Utility, Special charges (clean
up/demolition/grass cutting) or Tax sale/Lien information. Any other
information requested will be provided under separate cover by the
appropriate officer/department.
Requested: A list of properties with unpaid taxes for 3+ years, including
addresses, owner names, and lienholder details and in rem properties
There is no one list that contains all of requested information. I am able
to run 2 different reports - one will give you a delinquent report for all
open prior year/current year delinquent taxes with name/address
information included. The second is a lien account status report showing
all open liens (outside lienholders and municipally held liens) as of
today. We do not currently have an “In Rem foreclosure” proceeding so
there is no “In Rem” list to provide. Please see PDF attachments.
