New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA) Request – Body-Worn Camera, Dash Camera, Arrest Reports, and Investigation Records – Victoria Cranmer Sexual Assault Investigation

Dear Records Custodian,

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I respectfully request copies of all publicly releasable records relating to the criminal investigation involving Victoria Cranmer.

Incident Date: May 6, 2026 (when the video recording and alleged abuse took place inside a Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey home).
Investigation Start: May 20, 2026 (after local authorities and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office were alerted).
Arrest Date: July 8, 2026
Incident Location: Little Egg Harbor Township, Ocean County, New Jersey
Arrestee: Victoria Cranmer, 25
Victim: Child under the age of 13
Charges:
Sexual Assault
Endangering the Welfare of a Child
Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Material
Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

According to publicly released information, investigators began an investigation after a witness discovered suspected child sexual abuse videos stored within Snapchat Memories on a cellphone previously used by Victoria Cranmer. The witness surrendered the phone to law enforcement, and investigators subsequently obtained a search warrant on May 28, 2026, recovering additional digital evidence. Following the investigation, Victoria Cranmer was arrested on July 8, 2026, and charged with multiple felony offenses involving the sexual abuse of a child under the age of 13.

Requested Records: 
1  All body-worncamera (BWC) footage recorded by responding, assisting, investigating,arresting, supervising, or transporting troopers.
2  All dash camera,patrol vehicle camera, and mobile video recordings associated with theincident. Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward toyour response.

As per police records:

OPRA 2026-419 Response

I recommend denying the request pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-3(a), which
exempts records related to ongoing investigations.

This matter remains open and has not yet been adjudicated in the court
system. Accordingly, the requested records are not subject to disclosure
at this time. The case has been transferred to the OCPO.

This OPRA request is now complete.
