Dear New Jersey Department of Transportation,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
I am looking to obtain the following record(s):
A digital list of all active employees hired by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Please include their
job title ,
department they work in,
hire date,
union affiliation,
base salary and overtime pay.
Please include full time staff, part time staff, and, temporarily/seasonally employed workers.
I understand that records cannot be created so please send me the closest record in similarity to my request or compile separate lists as needed. Thank you!

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is in receipt of the
attached request for records under the Open Public Records Act (OPRA).
However, this request has been denied on the basis that this request is
improper under OPRA, and the official Closure Receipt is attached. The
Department of Transportation will not be providing answers to questions
contained in this request.
According to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et. seq., this request constitutes a request
for "information" which is not covered under the requirements of OPRA. A
request for "information" is not requesting a record made, maintained or
kept on file in the course of official business.
