Dear New Brunswick Board of Education,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested: complete copy of the recently-approved and ratified union contract for the workers of the New Brunswick school district.

Good afternoon, Mr. Kratovil,
I am in receipt of your OPRA request dated December 30, 2025. Please note
that the District was closed for winter break, and offices reopened on
Monday, January 5.
Regarding your request, while the parties have reached a contract
settlement, the 2025–2028 NBEA Collective Bargaining Agreement document
has not yet been finalized. Once the document is finalized, it will be
available for disclosure.

Dear Mr. Kratovil,
Thank you for your email. As previously indicated, once the parties
execute the final Collective Bargaining Agreement, the District will
forward a copy at that time. With respect to your request for the
settlement document, please note that the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
constitutes the mutual work product of the bargaining unit and the Board
of Education; the final and operative work product of the negotiations
process is the executed Collective Bargaining Agreement. Accordingly, the
District will provide the fully executed agreement once it is finalized.
