Missing Use of Force Report for k9 policeman bondarew
Dear Howell Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
In my previous request I requested the following " All Use of Force reports for Officer Nick Bondarew, unknown shield number, from 2015 to Present. This is the form that is filled out when force is used, including K9 Bite Force, which are approved by the admins. "
In the article from the Howell Patch on 7/3/2015 entitled "Man Leads Police On Route 195 Chase After Alleged Credit Card Fraud" Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd stated "Officers followed the car back onto Route 195, this time westbound, until the driver stopped suddenly on 195 in Upper Freehold Township, Dodd said. There Jones was subdued by a Howell Police K9 and arrested. He suffered a minor injury and was treated by Howell Police EMS. No police officers or civilians were injured, she said."
This report was not included in my previous request...Negligently or Deliberately?
I am requesting the following:
- Any and all police reports completed by K9 Policeman Bondarew, unknown shield number, for this k9 bite which occurred on or about 7/1/2015 or 7/2/2015.
- Official reasoning why this incident was not included in my last request, a simple random google search revealed this unknown incident
- K9 Policemans bondarew sick time, vacation time, union time, overtime, personal time, ,special assignment, administrative days, training for the period of 7/1/2015 to 8/1/2015

Good Afternoon,
The attached/requested Use of Force Report was amongst a group of reports,
as several officers were involved/completed Use of Force Reports for this
particular incident, which caused them to be kept together, instead of
individually by officer, as the original OPRA/search criteria included.
The reports for the companion case are not subject to public disclosure,
via OPRA statute, 47:1A-1.1, specifically the “Criminal/Investigatory”
record exemption.
The requested time keeping records have all been attached as well.
This completes your OPRA request.
