Dear Westwood Regional School District,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Any emails, correspondences, memorandum/memoranda of understanding, formal agreements, written agreements, informal agreements, documentation of verbal agreements, policies, protocols, procedures, relating to the activities, operations (to include standby and response), and recruitment activities of military, ambulance, fire, police, explorer, youth corps, peace corps, civil air patrol, Jr rotc, reserve officer training corps, coast guard auxiliary, military auxiliaries, militia groups on district premises at district sponsored events or under the guidance of supervision permit permission or sponsor of the district starting 01/01/2014 to 12/31/2024.

This email is in response to your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request,
seeking records from January 1, 2014, through December 31, 2024, relating
to the activities, operations, and recruitment activities of military,
ambulance, fire, police, explorer, youth corps, peace corps, civil air
patrol, JROTC, ROTC, coast guard auxiliary, military auxiliaries, and
similar groups on district premises or at district-sponsored events.
After review, your request is denied pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g) as it
is overly broad and does not identify a specific, identifiable record. The
request does not specify particular senders or recipients, nor does it
provide definitive email addresses or subject lines that would allow for a
targeted search of the District’s electronic communications. Conducting a
search under the current parameters would require the District to research
and interpret potential records across multiple departments and staff
members, which constitutes research and information gathering, not the
retrieval of specific government records as required under OPRA.
If you wish to narrow your request, please specify:
• The names or email addresses of the individuals to and from whom
communications may have been sent;
• A shorter time frame; and/or
