Good morning to you all and I hope that you all are doing well during these trying times.  Thanks to you all for the hard work you do for the people of our town.

I wanted to express my displeasure with a post by Laura O regarding the absolute disrespect for Police and telling people the they should NOT post anything regarding police kneeling or working with the public as it takes away from the meaning of the upcoming protests in town this weekend.  With all the hard work and pressure that our police are under during this time, this kind of rhetoric is not justified and can possibly create a dangerous situation for our police who will be working this weekend to keep the town and our businesses safe.  

To say this is unfathomable to me is an understatement, and especially from someone running for county office as well.  I feel that the Mayor and council should address this immediately and remove her from any organizations or groups she is affiliated with in our town.   I am sure we have policies and procedures in place regarding anyone involved in town sending these types of posts.  

I do not write this email without hesitation, but I feel this is something that needs to be addressed for the safety of all in town,  especially our Police.
