Amy,
Thanks as always for your efforts with the town and I do miss working with you.
I am writing you individually to express my concern that I sent to the entire council last week, and realized that because I did that, it could not be addressed.
I have a serious problem with the post the Laura O sent out regarding the total disrespect for the Police, not only here in NJ, but everywhere. I feel that she should be removed from any group or town affiliated committee immediately. I know you are a woman of extreme character, and hope that you will consider this request, and remove her from these groups. In my opinion, she should not represent the town in any manner, and this divisive post was terrible.
We have enough stress and division in our town and country now, and this post was inappropriate to say the least.
Thanks for your consideration, and talk soon.
Respectfully,
Mike O’Hagan

Thank you for your email, Mike, and hope you all are well!
Your support for the dog park is wonderful, and like myself, we both agree it is good addition to the borough. I admire Eileen's enthusiasm for continuing to improve the dog park but, we may have differing opinions about what phase 1 and 2 are. The council approved all of phase one, which is complete. Phase 2 and Phase 3, which incorporate more significant installations, were by lease agreement, to be approved by the council. I have disliked how the interpretation of that has been misconstrued. I for one, think the dog park should be the best it can be; however, without discussion of these next steps, with the council, miscommunication and time lags happen. For instance, there was never a conversation about who will pay for the cost of the electrics, monthly/annually? Likewise for irrigation. I have no doubt that I would perhaps entertain the idea of the borough adopting some of those costs, however, again, the discussion must happen. Nothing in this borough, you know Mike, happens without consent of the council or at the very least, Lenora, when pertaining to public property. Time and time again, the dog park has done what they want (even with best intentions) and then asks for approval after. This is a condition that has caused frustration, as I hope you can understand.
Anyway, I look forward to the discussion tonight, and hope we all can walk away happy.
Kind regards, as always,
Amy

Subject: Dog Park Issues on Agenda
Hello All,
My name is Mike O’Hagan and I have been involved in the borough for many years, 16 as a council member as you know.
I wanted to talk about the Dog Park and the items that are on the agenda to be discussed this evening. It has been a LONG process with many different twists and turns to get this Dog Park Approved and it is a wonderful addition to our town. I just wanted to bring some background to this agenda and let you know that all of theses items were on the PHASE ONE portion of the project and have been discussed at length and were approved years ago by the town council.
I am trying to get on this meeting call tonight, but may not be able to due to family commitment. Thank you all for your service, and please remember these items were ALL approved a long time ago, and are being privately funded.
Have a nice day, and thanks again.
Respectfully submitted,
Mike O’Hagan
