I am seeking records related to Middlesex Sewerage Authority and their investigation into major sources of pollution into the Raritan River and its tributaries in 1963. According to a New Brunswick Homes New article on August 6, 1963, the Middlesex Sewerage Authority and the NJ Department of Health conducted a six month investigation into major contributors to pollution in these waterways which culminated in a two day conference where major polluters were identified.

This request is directed at the Middlesex County Utilities Authority because they should house the records in question. Please search your records for reports from the aforementioned investigation, conference, or communication with NJ Dept of Health in 1963. Please also include any records pertaining to investigations into or enforcement actions against the following companies: Heyden Chemical; Heyden-Newport Chemical; and Tenneco Chemical.
