MFD Beneficiary Settlement Agreements for FY19 to Present

1. Copies of all settlement agreements for cases in which a Medicaid beneficiary repaid improperly received Medicaid benefits for the period of Fiscal Year 2019 to present. *Personally identifiable information from the agreements are to be redacted.
2. Documents or records sufficient to identify the total number of Medicaid beneficiary fraud cases referred to County Prosecutor's offices for the period of Fiscal Year 2019 to present.

Dear Mr. Larsen:

 

The New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) received your below
Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on December 7, 2021.  As such, the
seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is December 16,
2021.  Your request requires additional time to fulfill.  OPRA allows
custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. 
Your request requires an extension of time of an additional four (4)
business days.  As such, you will receive this office’s response to your
request on or before December 22, 2021.

Dear Mr. Larsen:

 

The New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) received your below
Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on December 7, 2021.  The seven (7)
business day deadline to respond to your request was December 16, 2021. 
On December 13, 2021, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i., OSC sought four (4)
additional business days to respond to your request.  Thus, OSC’s time to
respond to your request is December 22, 2021.  This response is being
provided to you on December 20, 2021.

 

            Your OPRA Request sought the following:

 

“1. Copies of all settlement agreements for cases in which a Medicaid
beneficiary repaid improperly received Medicaid benefits for the period of
Fiscal Year 2019 to present.  *Personally identifiable information from
the agreements  are to be redacted. 2. Documents or records sufficient to
identify the total number of Medicaid beneficiary fraud cases referred to

present.”

 

 

As to your first request, see documents bates labeled OSC001 to OSC170. 
These documents have been redacted to protect the privacy rights of
individuals.  Certain Medicaid-related information has also been redacted
as required by current law.  As to your second request, please be advised
that OSC/MFD made eight (8) referrals during that time period.     

 

OSC considers its response to your OPRA request as closed.
