Dear Truth Seeker,
The Board is in receipt of your Open Public Records Act ("OPRA") request.
Specifically, your request sought:
“Contract between school district and vendor(s) that provide mental health
support services that was signed between Jan 1, 2021-11/30/22.
Specifically, I am requesting information about the specific vendor
referenced by the assistant superintendent, Dr. Layman, at the November
2022 meeting of the Monroe Township Board of Education,”
Your request requires additional time to respond due to the need to review
potentially responsive records for confidential information and due to the
significant demands placed on the District with regard to the
exceptionally large number of OPRA requests the Board has received. OPRA
allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-5(i). Specifically, OPRA states that “the requestor shall be advised
by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the record is
not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”
Accordingly, your request requires an extension of time until December 23,
2022.
