We're waiting for Peter to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Bloomfield Township,

- A list of property addresses that, as of today, have delinquent property taxes and open property liens. This list needs to include amounts of balances owed.

-Detailed Lien Status Report

-All properties that had any utilities shut off.

-Properties that have entered/completed the probate process

-A list of property addresses that have received any code violations since the beginning of the year. Please provide the type of violation. (Including Vacant Property)

-A list of all residential property addresses that are currently vacant or abandoned.

-A list of all residential property addresses that are condemned

-A list of All Properties without a current city certificate of occupancy

I only need the property addresses. Please put all lists in separate Excel files. PDF is okay too. If up-to-date data is not available, please provide the most recently available information.

The Township of Bloomfield received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA)
Request on  August 4, 2021.  As such, the seven (7) business day deadline
to respond to your request is August 13, 2021. The response to your
request is being provided to you on the 7^th business day upon the
Township’s receipt of the request. 

 

Your OPRA request sought the following:

 

A list of property addresses that, as of today, have delinquent property
taxes and open property liens. This list needs to include amounts of

The following records are being provided in their entirety and are the
ONLY documents in the Township’s possession responsive to your request:

 

1.      From the Township’s Tax Collector:  Delinquent property taxes and
liens (2 excel files)

2.      All properties that had any utilities shut off – No Documents
responsive.

3.      Properties that have entered/completed the probate process – No
Documents responsive.

4.      From the Township’s Health Department:  Code Violations (1 excel
file)

5.      From the Township’s Building Department:  Code Violations (5
pages)

6.      From the Township’s Fire Department:  Vacant or abandoned property
list (1 Page)

7.      A list of all residential property addresses that are condemned  -
No Documents responsive.

8.      A list of All Properties without a current city certificate of
occupancy – No Documents responsive.

 

*Personal information has been redacted in accordance with the Open Public
Records Act statute N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1  which prohibits the release of
personal information. 

 

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Township of Bloomfield to deny
access.  At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey, or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.

The GRC can also answer other questions about the law.  All questions
