Dear Borough Clerk,

I am in receipt of your extension notice dated July 24, 2026, requesting an extension of the deadline for OPRA Request #310-2026 to September 30, 2026.

A significant delay for documentation establishing when a single municipal job title was created is unreasonable. It may constitute a constructive denial of access under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(i).

To narrow this request and remove any basis for further delay, I am requesting the following in place of the original request:

The ordinance, resolution, salary ordinance amendment, council vote, or other municipal governing document that first created the Library Clerk I position as a compensated municipal title, including the effective date of that creation. This is a single document or small set of documents reflecting a specific legislative or administrative action, not a broad personnel search.

If no such creating document exists in Borough records, please confirm that in writing. If any portion of this request is denied or deemed exempt, please provide the remaining non-exempt portions with a specific statutory explanation for each redaction or denial.
