Library Board President Concern
Dear Wallington Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
I as a very concerned resident would like to know how we have an elected official (Councilwoman) as both the Library President and Liaison as well who is a voting member on both the town council an the library board. In reading through minutes I do not see where she has abstained from anything related to the library board when clearly this seems unethical and a conflict of interest legally.
I would like to see an ordinance, resolution or some sort of legal document stating that we can have a council person voting on the items on both boards and that this is legal.
Yours faithfully,
Furious Resident
Dear Wallington Borough,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Open Public Records Act reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Wallington Borough's handling of my OPRA request 'Library Board President Concern'.
This request was submitted on March 27, 2024 and has not been answered - why?? By law, public authorities must respond within 7 business days to requests. I would like to ask again to see where the Library President/Councilwoman has abstained in any/all votes regarding the library in both the library meetings and the Mayor and Council meetings as I do not see this reflected in any meeting minutes posted on the borough website.
A full history of my OPRA request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://opramachine.com/request/library_...
Yours faithfully,
Resident
