This is in response to your request for records pursuant to the New Jersey
Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1, et seq. Therein, you
request a copy of an anonymous letter regarding Mr. Matthew Weisfeld and
Mr. Weisfeld’s response.

Please be advised that at this time, your request must be denied. Pursuant
to OPRA, a “government record” is defined as any document “made,
maintained or kept on file . . . or that has been received in the course
of his or its official business.”

The correspondence you seek was delivered directly to individual board
members in a private capacity by an anonymous individual, and relates
solely to the annual Board election and Mr. Weisfeld’s candidacy. The
Board has no jurisdiction over the election and therefore any records
related to the election in this manner are not the “official business” of
the Board or its members.
