The Board of Commissioners, Fire District No. 1 (hereinafter "District") in receipt of your Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”) request, which seeks:
"Please provide all correspondence and minutes from the Ken Piscopo special hearing in reference to his appeal for removal of Toms River Volunteer Fire Co #2[.]"
Attached please find the meeting minutes for the K. Piscopo hearing. The request for "all correspondence ... from the Ken Piscopo special hearing[,]" is vague and overbroad. See Bent v. Stafford Police Dep’t, 381 N.J. Super. 30 (App. Div. 2005) (The Court affirmed the GRC’s decision that the complainant’s request was broad and unclear when it requested "any and all.") The District has attached the e-mail correspondence sent by the District's attorney, copying the District, to Fire Company No. 2's counsel, in addition to Mr. Piscopo's counsel, which included the District's decision and meeting minutes. This was the only "correspondence" generated including the minutes. Should you wish to submit a clarified request, or have any issue accessing these PDFs, do not hesitate to contact me.
