Attached please find government records responsive to your specific
request for “all current working employees on payroll to present 2019”.
Consistent with responses to your prior OPRA requests and as stated in
correspondence connected to recent litigation titled Roman v. Kean
University et al., docket no. UNN-L-122-19, please be advised that
post-employment retiree data resides with the State of New Jersey.
Additionally, please be aware that the report includes columns titled
“DOH” (signifying “date of hire”) and “AC-DOH” (generally signifying
“actual date of hire”). Notwithstanding the nomenclature used by the
system for these two columns, when a date is included in the AC-DOH
column, differences in the dates between the two columns signifies a
change in employment status; which could (by way of example only) mean a
change in title or rehiring of an employee who previously left employment
with the University. Please note, again, that the system is not
configured to provide historical data associated with these occurrences in
a report, and therefore cannot provide separate line items to identify
specific personnel changes and/or multiple dates of hire and separation.
Please be advised that as current Kean University employees do not have
dates of separation, there are no government records responsive to your
specific request for “all terminated – non voluntary employees”.
Should you have additional questions regarding this request, please do not
hesitate to contact me or Custodian of Records, Laura Barkley-Haelig.
Sincerely,
Heather Brandao
