Re: Extension of 3/5/2018 OPRA Request

Dear M. Roman:

Kean University originally received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on March 5, 2018. As such, the initial seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Your request sought access to the following government records:

Please provide all municipal, state and federal lawsuits against defendant Kean University from 2003 to 2018. Please list plaintiff, docket #, brief description of complaint (ex. Discrimination, excessive force, etc.); settlement if any, all attorney fees and court costs per complaint. [ex. DeGarcia UNN L 1303-14, Zois UNN L 2741-15, Anamdi UNN L 774-15]

Please be advised that your request will require an extension of time to be appropriately processed.  As such, your request will be extended until March 28, 2018.  OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5i.  Specifically, OPRA states that “the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made available.  If the record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”
