Dear Manchester Township School District,
I’m curious what’s taking so long for information that’s relatively new and easily available.
Yours faithfully,
Citizen
Mr. Berenato's contract is attached. We do not establish disqualifying
offenses for our applicants. Disqualifying offenses are determined by the
Department of Education Office of Student Safety. Lastly, we cannot
provide you Mr. Berenato's employment application as it is not subject to
OPRA under Executive Order 26 (McGreevy 2002). We are trying to get
clarification on this. If we are able to release the application, I will
forward this to you in a separate email.
Respectfully,
Dear Lorentzen, Craig,
Was that the candidate for superintendent position you were referring too? I read that only applies to you (Manchester) releasing your own candidate’s information, however, now that he is no longer a candidate with Berlin it wouldn’t apply to that superintendent position either. Therefore, I believe his application for Manchester and all it’s attached documents fall under OPRA, and are now eligible for public knowledge.
Yours sincerely,
Me
Good morning,
After discussing this request with my attorney and the attorney's from New
Jersey School Boards Association who consulted on the hiring process, I
have attached the application and supporting documents for John Berenato
when he applied for the Superintendent position in our district.
Thank you.

Correction on the spelling of the superintendent’s last name. It is Berenato.
