Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request. The scope of this request complies with N.J.S.A.10:4-6, et seq. and falls outside any exemption provided therein (P.L.1963, c.73 (C.47:1A-1 et seq.)) Note that in addition to the OPRA, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 provides an independent means for citizens to gain access to public information.

(1) For the period from 01/01/2018 to the present, all amounts (premiums) paid to the Joint Insurance Fund, insurance claims made to the Joint Insurance Fund, and the settlements thereof.

Subject: Clarification of OPRA Request – Joint Insurance Fund Records

Dear Ms. Barras,

Thank you for your response and for reviewing my OPRA request.

To clarify:

(1) I am seeking copies of each purchase order for invoices paid to the Joint Insurance Fund. While a printout may provide a summary, I prefer to review the actual purchase orders for transparency and detail.

(2) I am also seeking copies of settlements paid out by the Township through the Joint Insurance Fund, not settlements received. I apologize for any confusion caused by the wording in my initial request.
