Dear Mr. Clarke,
While I appreciate your continuing to work through this pandemic, I believe the extension requested is not warranted, given the records have nothing to do with the pandemic - please correct me if I'm wrong. These records would most likely be in .pdf format already and should be easily accessible to you. I'll also remind you that contracts, including redevelopment agreements, are considered "immediate access" documents under OPRA.
Regarding your request for clarification, for the redevelopment areas other than "Jersey Sandford," they can be seen on the city government's 2013 map of redevelopment "districts," available via link here: https://www.cityofnewbrunswick.org/resid...
As you will recall, the NBHA Board of Commissioners designated a redeveloper, Jersey Avenue NB Urban Renewal, LLC, for the Jersey Sandford redevelopment area at their meeting in June 2020. That's the only one that is not on the aforementioned map. I'll note the LLC's designation was subject to two conditions, including one that required the submission of a redevelopment agreement "within 90 days."
As for the other four redevelopment areas, I cannot say for sure if any concept plans or redevelopment agreements have ever been submitted to the NBHA at this time. However, I would imagine based on their inclusion on the city's 2013 map of redevelopment "districts" that the NBHA would already be in possession of the current redevelopment plan for each of these areas, as well as the Jersey Sandford area.
I am asking that you please provide whatever you have in terms of plans and agreements for these five districts as soon as possible. If no plans or agreements exist for a particular district, please indicate as much in your response. Don't hesitate to call me or email me if you have any further questions. Thank you kindly.
Yours sincerely,
Charlie Kratovil
