Dear Cherry Hill Township,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.

2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).

3. All invoices of body cameras purchases (if body cameras were purchased).

4. Dates of initial body camera assignment for each police officer currently employed.

In response to your OPRA Request received August 31, 2023, we have
attached hereto are the documents you requested.

1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police
department. - We have 164 cameras in stock, 156 assigned.

2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police
officers for the first time (year and month). - Our official
deployment was September 2016.

3. All invoices of body cameras purchases (if body cameras were
purchased). - responsive documents attached.

4. Dates of initial body camera assignment for each police officer
currently employed. - No document exists. Unless an officer was
hired after September 2016, all officers were allocated BWC during
deployment.

By way of this e-mail, which includes the documents responsive to
your request, we have marked your OPRA request received August 31,
2023 as satisfied and closed.

A copy of the Denial Poster with instructions to applicants who
wish to appeal any denial or part thereof is attached hereto. You
have the right to appeal the decision that the document or
documents are not public records. You may take your appeal to the
Government Records Council or the New Jersey Superior Court, as
provided by N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.
