Records requested: Any and all records related to the investigation and arrest of Richard Knight on June 9, 2021 for the Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography including but not limited to any and all National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) complaints and complaint numbers, Investigation and Supplemental Investigation reports, arrest reports, sentencing reports, any reports related to bail hearings/detention hearings, and any and all reports and report numbers of any reports/communication made to the NJ State Police or to or from local police departments, specifically the Plumsted Police Department, related to the investigation and arrest of Richard Knight by members of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Technology Crime Unit on June 9, 2021. Included in the request would be any spin off investigations conducted by any member of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office related to Richard Knight. Thanks Donna!

Thanks so much for your rapid response.

12/8/2020 - the NJ State Police forwarded five (5) National Center for Missing and Exploited Children complaints to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

4/12/2021 (4 months and 4 days later) someone from OCPO submitted a Communications Data Warrant to Google.

6/9/2021 (6 months and 1 day after the initial complaints were received) members of the OCPO executed a Search Warrant and rescued two children, a 10 year old and a 15 year old, from such deplorable conditions at Richard Knights residence that OCPO identified them as "Abused and Neglected Children."

Richard Knight made a statement that he received and distributed Child Sexual Assault Material. The arresting officer was James Hill Jr. and the reports were approved and reviewed by Thomas Tiernan.
