Suspect Name: Darcel Rivers

Case Title:Darcel Rivers Homicide Investigation

Charges:Darcel Rivers, a father of four, was visiting Jersey City from Rhode Island, where he had just graduated from culinary school, when he was shot and killed on June 4, 2015. He was walking near Fulton Avenue and Van Cleef Street at approximately 3:45 a.m. when he was robbed and shot in the head. He was on a phone call with his girlfriend during the attack, telling her he was being robbed before the call went silent. His phone and cash were stolen.
