Inmate Settlement Claims
Dear New Jersey Division of Law,
I would like the names of inmates that filed and settled claims against the state of NJ and NJDOC
Yours faithfully,
Mirabella Meotti
Dear New Jersey Division of Law,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Open Public Records Act reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of New Jersey Division of Law's handling of my OPRA request 'Inmate Settlement Claims'.
[ by law your department should have normally responded by now. ]
A full history of my OPRA request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://opramachine.com/request/inmate_s...
Yours faithfully,
Mirabella Meotti
I am the records Custodian for the Division of Law and I have no record of having received this records request. I will input it into our system today and my response will be due on January 30, 2020.
Please be advised that pursuant to regulation, N.J.A.C. 13:1E-2, and long-standing L&PS policy and practice, submission of OPRA requests by e-mail is not permitted. N.J.A.C. 13:1E-2.4(a) states: "Written Open Public Records Act (OPRA) requests shall be hand-delivered during normal business hours of the public agency, mailed or submitted electronically to the appropriate division or agency custodian of records over the Internet by means of a web-enabled OPRA request form, which can be found on the Department of Law and Public Safety OPRA website, www.state.nj.us/lps/opra. Submission of requests by e-mail or facsimile transmission is not permitted." For these reasons, I am not able to accept your email below as a valid request for access to government records.
There will be no internal review of this request.
