Information wanted
Dear Point Pleasant Beach Police Department,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Any and all police reports, calls and visits involving Rosa Crowley in the past 10 years. Any videos used in claims made in reports as well.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
Mary
Mary,
The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department received your OPRA request on
March 20, 2025. Your OPRA request sought access to all police reports and
calls involving Rosa Crowley, as well access to video footage over the
span of 10 years.
Your request requires additional time beyond the seven business days to
fulfill because there are approx. 40 reports that need to be reviewed and
redacted. If there are specific reports that you are looking for
information on or a list of reports, we will be able to accommodate that
request sooner.
OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A.
1A-5.i. Your request requires an extension of ten (10) business days. If
these records are available before that time they will be provided to you.
Thank you,
Catherine Bradley

Good morning,
Please see attached, the responsive records for the OPRA request received
on March 20, 2025, for reports and calls involving Rosa Crowley over the
past 10 years, as well as, any videos made in reports.
The police department is requesting that you be more specific as to what
type of video you are looking for information on, which specific
incidents you want video of, or dates and times of video. Requesting "any
videos used in claims," is an invalid request, OPRA custodians are not
required to conduct research to an OPRA request.
Please respond in writing so that we may process your request.
The responsive records consist of the following:
1. Incident Reports - attached- please note: Case #1-15-000336 7/01/2015
- is exempt from disclosure under the Prevention of Domestic Violence
Act of 1991.
2. CAD Call reports
Please note that lawful redactions were made where indicated to remove
confidential and personal identifying information including personal home
address, date of birth, driver's license number, and other unique personal
identifiers and information where it has been determined that there is a
citizen's reasonable expectation of privacy. These redactions were made
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 (personal identifying information); CAD
Narratives and Complaining witness and victim names- Disclosure of such
information from a complaining witness would violate that citizen's
expectation of privacy pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1. Wilcox v. Township of
West Caldwell, GRC Complaint No. 2004-28, see Giannakis v. New Jersey
Department of Education, GRC Complaint No. 2012-152.
