Good morning,
The Borough Clerk’s office received your recent OPRA request on July 17,
2018 for copies of the following:
1. Copy(s) of Bergenfield Police Department SOPs/General
Orders/Directives/Policies/Rules/Regulations referencing and in regards to
the practice of police officers identifying themselves by name and/or
badge number to members of the general public when requested, and/or by
individuals the police officers make contact with in the course of their
duties, when requested by those individuals.
2. Copy(s) of Bergenfield Police Department SOPs/General

As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is
July 26, 2018. This response is being provided to you on the sixth
(6^th) day of the custodian’s receipt of the said request.
The following records are being provided in their entirety and are
responsive to your request:

There are no further records pertaining to your request.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.b, there is no cost associated with this
request as the documents are being transmitted to you electronically.
If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Borough of Bergenfield to deny
access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
