1. Full roster list of all Newton police officers' names, ranks, corresponding badge numbers, and length of time with the department.
2. Any and all Newton Police Department policies referencing and in regards to the practice of police officers identifying themselves by name and/or badge number to members of the general public when requested, and/or by individuals the police officers make contact with in the course of their duties, when requested by those individuals.
3. Any and all Newton Police Department policies referencing and in regards to the display of name tags, name plates, name patches, badges, and/or badge numbers.
4. Any and all Newton Police Department policies referencing and in regards to the conduct of police officers when engaging/making contact with the public.
5. Any and all Newton Police Department training records within the last 365 days referencing it's officer's knowledge of Constitutional Rights and/or the legality of public photography.

I'm not legally required to fill out your agency's form and that my email request
is legally valid. Please comply with my legally valid OPRA request within the legal time period
of 7 business days. Pursuant to Renna v. County of Union (App. Div. 2009),
OPRA requests should be on the agency’s official OPRA request form.
However, a written request that is not on the agency’s official OPRA
request form cannot be denied solely because the request is not on the
request form. Written requests which are not on the form must mention
OPRA. Therefore, if a requestor elects not to use an agency’s official
OPRA request form, he/she must submit an otherwise written request that

(The Newton Police Department utilizes a law enforcement video training program titled "Path of The Guardian" developed by the Daigle Law Group and its Consultants. These videos are 5-8 minutes in length and focus on the important policy and police practice issues developing across the country. The videos focus on Supreme Court updates, police practice issues, high liability issues, Department of Justice investigations , and Accreditation standards. The videos are distributed each week to Newton Police Officers for a total of 52 videos a year. Attached is a print out of the instructional video labeled 'Search and Seizure: Recording Police Activity' with the officers' names and associated dates of the training.
