I am in receipt of your OPRA request dated September 9, 2020 (our file no.
20-619). Thank you for requesting access to body-worn camera footage from
the Morristown Bureau of Police. This document is designed to assist you
in accessing and viewing the footage you have requested.

 

The Morristown Bureau of Police utilizes the Axon Body 2 camera. Our
footage is stored and maintained on the Evidence.com cloud-based
application provided by Axon.  Access to view your requested footage will
be provided through this platform.

 

 

In order to view the requested footage here are the following
instructions:

 

Please note that the footage you have requested may or may not contain
redacted sections.  Redaction is applied to protect personal identifying
information or law-enforcement sensitive material. Redaction may be
applied to video and/or audio portions of your requested footage. Video
redaction will be visible on the screen as a slightly blurred section of
the video. Audio redactions will appear as silent portions of the video.

 

In order to view your requested footage, the following steps will take
place.

 

1.       You will receive an email from Evidence.com inviting you to
access the footage. This email will include a link to the Morristown
Police Evidence.com platform.

2.       You will be required to create an account to access this footage.
This account is free of charge and will provide access to only the footage
you have requested.

3.       Once you have created your free account, you will have access to
view the footage you have requested.

 

 

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfilled as required by law, you have a right to challenge the denial of
access. At you option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.

at PO Box 819, Trenton, NJ, 08625, by email at [2][email address], or
at their website at [3]www.state.nj.us/grc. The GRC can also answer other
questions about the law. All questions regarding complaints filed in
