Incident reports & case summary reports, with narratives, (including any follow ups) pertaining to hit-and-run incident on North Main Street around 8:30PM on December 13, 2019.

East Windsor Township received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on September 14, 2020. As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is September 23, 2020. This response to your request is being provided to you on the first business day after the custodian’s receipt of said request.
Your OPRA request sought access to the following:
" Incident reports & case summary reports, with narratives, (including any follow ups) pertaining to hit-and-run incident on North Main Street around 8:30PM on December 13, 2019."
As per the Chief of Police, your request is denied. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1 (5) and N.J.S.A. 47:1A-3(a), the records requested are Criminal investigatory records with an ongoing investigation, which are not required by law to be made, maintained or kept on file by a law enforcement agency which pertain to any criminal investigation in addition to the investigation is still in progress.
