Dear Middlesex County OPRA Center,
I must object to the redactions to your human resources. Dozens of records are omitted for no good reason. These records fall under the category: "GENERAL CHANGES" and appear to contain very limited information: "Name, Office, Title and Salary, [Effective] Date, and Type."

The statute cited to justify the redaction is N.J.S.A. 47:1A - 10, the section of OPRA that specifically states that "an individual's name, title, position, salary, payroll record, length of service, date of separation and the reason therefor, and the amount and type of any pension received shall be a government record." Why then are you redacting many of those same pieces of information from this document? Please provide the unredacted document to comply with my request under OPRA.

Additionally, I am entitled to this information under common law right of access. As you may know, I am the editor of a community newspaper that has covered Middlesex County for over a decade. I am seeking this information to support our newsgathering efforts and to investigate newsworthy changes in your personnel.
