We are in receipt of your request for public records dated August 13,
2020, submitted under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”),
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.  As you may be already aware, OPRA was recently
amended to provide that:

During a period declared pursuant to the laws of this State as a state of
emergency, public health emergency, or state of local disaster emergency,
the deadlines by which to respond to a request for, or grant or deny
access to, a government record under paragraph (1) of this subsection or
subsection e. of this section shall not apply, provided, however, that the
custodian of a government record shall make a reasonable effort, as the
circumstances permit, to respond to a request for access to a government
record within seven business days or as soon as possible thereafter.
[N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(i)(2).]

As the City of East Orange (“City”) is subject to the State of New
Jersey’s current public health emergency declaration, processing your
request required additional time.   I have followed up with Director of
Planning to obtain the records.  Once this Office is in receipt of
documentation, it will be forwarded to your attention directly.  Thank you

2008.

Please provide the total number of individuals or families that received
financial assistance from Urban Youth Development Corporation specifically
from funds dispersed by the City of East Orange.

Please provide total the number of approval signatures and their
corresponding job titles of those employees in the City of East Orange
that authorized the disbursement of funds to the Urban Youth Development
Corporation in years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
