Health Insurance for elected officials
Dear Fair Hills Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
Documents identifying any elected official who was covered by health insurance paid for (in whole or in part) by the Borough of Far Hills for any portion of the year, and for each such person, documents indicating the following:
1. The amount paid by the Borough of Far Hills for health insurance during that year, net of any contribution by the elected official;
2. The amount contributed by the elected official for health insurance during that year;
3. The type of coverage, e.g. individual, family, or couple;
4. The services covered, e.g. medical, prescription, dental, vision, etc.
Notes:
A. This request is for information about elected officials only.
B. This request seeks information solely about insurance coverage and does not seek health or medical information for any person.

29, 2023, as such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond is
January 10, 2024. I am responding to you on the 7th day after receipt of
your request.
Your OPRA request sought access to the following records:
Records requested:

Notes:
A. This request is for information about elected officials only.
B. This request seeks information solely about insurance coverage and does
not seek health or medical information for any person.
Your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days
to fulfill. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall
be advised by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the
record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”
Your request requires an extension of time until January 22 , 2024, due to
vacation schedules and the part-time hours of our staff.
If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Borough of Far Hills to deny
access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
