Dear Ocean County Health Department,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1. A list (in Excel preferably) of all businesses inspected in Brick Township from 2016-present, including business name/address/owner/business type/inspection date.

2. Please provide copies of the current health license and all inspection reports and complaints from 2016-present for the following locations:

A. Dunkin' Donuts, 1500 Ocean Avenue, Lakewood NJ

B. Grazianos, 3119 Route 88, Point Pleasant, NJ

C. El Mexico Lindo, 2063 Route 88, Brick NJ

D. Tuscany, 1490 Route 88, Brick NJ

Dear Mr. Smeretsky,

Thank you for sending the second portion of my request.

The first portion of my request was deemed "overly broad and vague." I would just like to point out that other similar requests for license indexes are fulfilled by townships throughout the state. For instance, OPRA requests are made for townships to provide a complete list of dog registration licenses and landlord licenses for the entire township with general information about each license (name/address/etc) and those requests are fulfilled and not deemed overly broad and vague.

I did not ask for the entirety of Ocean County. nor did I ask for 20 years of information (that perhaps could be deemed overly broad and vague). I asked specifically for just one township that you are responsible for, and for just the last 5 years of records for that township for all licenses issued from 2016-2020. With that being the case, would you reconsider and send the requested information?
