Dear Mayor DiGiovanni and Town Council: Please say no to the proposal. As residents of the town for seven years, our neighborhood has changed from retired couples to young professionals starting and raising families. We want to be here for a while. We have built a strong community climate, founded on friendship, trust, kindness, and acceptance. The addition of a slaughterhouse in our quiet neighborhood does not match what we have going on here. We oppose this use of the property and ask for your understanding. Keep Hackettstown moving in the right direction. That direction is built on compassion for all. You have the opportunity to act and lead in the best interest of ALL your residents.
