Gilford Park Septic Tank Map

The request was refused by Ocean County Health Department.

Dear Ocean County Health Department,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

Any historical permits for or maps detailing septic tanks in the Gilford Park region of Toms River. Any information at all is appreciated and will go towards Clean Ocean Action's Rally for the Barnegat Bay sampling locations.

If more specificity is required for the request, one map of the known septic tanks remaining in Gilford Park, Toms River would be sufficient.

Yours faithfully,

Stephen Myer

Good afternoon.

We are in receipt of your request, but it cannot be processed at this time.

OPRA property requests need to have the current Block and Lot numbers present as well as street addresses where possible. Your request is too vague for our team to know where to start looking.

Please update your request and resubmit. If you are unable to find the missing information, please let us know and we will try to move forward as best we can.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Evan Washburn

Dear Evan Washburn,

Thank you for the timely response. The reason I am submitting this request in the first place is because I can find no information whatsoever about septic tanks in the Toms River area. Due to this, I also have no idea what blocks/house addresses would be beneficial to look at. Our study is focusing on the potential of septic tanks to leak into the nearby Dilon Creek, so if you need more specificity I would be interested in seeing any maps/permits of septic tanks on Elizabeth Avenue between the intersections of Berkeley and Coolidge Avenues in Gifford Park.

Yours sincerely,

Stephen
